HIGHLIGHTED SOLUTIONS

ACTUATORS

Integra Devices has developed unique technologies for building microactuators, ranging in size from sub-millimeter to several millimeters. Interga’s micro actuators feature low voltage actuation, robust construction, large travel, and large forces. These actuators can be readily integrated into electronic and mechanical modules for applications such as miniature gimbals, valves, positioners, and translation stages. These devices can be utilized in applications such as biomedical manipulators, drone image stabilizers, microwave relays, microfluidic devices, and satellite propulsion systems.

SENSORS

Integra Devices has unique expertise in developing miniature sensors for a wide variety of physical sensing applications. Integra’s 3D fabrication and integration capabilities enables the production of sensors that have unique capabilities. Example microsensors include multi-channel vibration sensors (simultaneously monitor different frequency bands without the need for signal processing), truly directional microphones (world’s smallest ribbon microphones), miniature airflow sensors (multi-wire hot anemometers), shear stress sensors (ultra-thin, wireless, zero power), and unique pressure sensors (for unique requirements or extreme environments). These sensors can be utilized for a variety of industrial and medical sensing applications.

MICROFLUIDICS

Integra Devices has over 15 years of experience in pioneering integrated microfluidic technologies and systems. Integra’s microfluidic FLEMS™ platform (Fluidic Electro Mechanical Systems) provides a variety of small packaged components that can be surface mounted on standard printed circuit boards to build robust, integrated microfluidic systems. Chips provide functions such as valves, pumps, electrodes, heaters, and sensors. This approach combines the sophistication of conventional electronics with the novelty of microfluidics. By utilizing Integra’s FLEMS™ chips, microfluidic engineers are able to put together complex microfluidic systems without the need to design and build everything from scratch. These devices can be utilized in applications such as biomedical devices, smart wound care, micro-hydraulic systems, point-of- care diagnostics, and high throughput chemical screening.

MILLIMETER WAVE

Integra Devices’s technology is uniquely suited for producing products for mm wave applications. Integra is able to produce 3D micro structures in metal and other materials, allowing Integra to produce highly complex waveguides and co-axial transmission lines that are small and buried within an electrical substrate. This same technology enables Integra to produce high performance filters, diplexers, interconnects, and other components in a small size at reasonable cost. These devices can be utilized in applications such as 5G infrastructure, and military/aerospace applications.
